Now that we’ve survived the countdown, it’s time to adapt to our new home in Austria. This process has been an entirely new experience for us. Never could we have anticipated all the adjustments and emotions that would follow after our move on July 16th. And few can! That is exactly why we are looking to share our lessons learned with you!
Welcome to #MovedAbroadMonday, our next mission to inform and inspire our followers. If you followed us #SurvivingTheCountdown on Instagram, then you know exactly what we are talking about. In Surviving the Countdown, we took you on a 90-day journey to prepare for a big trip or a move abroad.
Every day we outlined a step taken to prepare for this life changing experience. From obtaining visas to boarding our one way flight to Austria. What an experience it was! And now that we’ve arrived in magical Salzburg, it’s time to share all the steps we’ve taken to adapt to our new home.
Every Monday, we will post something that we accomplished to make our move abroad easier, lessons we learned from our successes and failures and adjustments we made to feel at home. Since it’s also important to celebrate small victories, we’ll throw those in too, so you don’t have to feel awkward about how excited you are to go grocery shopping for the first time or do laundry in your new home (those are some of our favorite moments!).
